Curriculum

Grades Pre-K through 6th (excluding 2nd grade) will be using a new curriculum, “Weaving God’s Promises.”

Grades 1 and 2 use  Gretchen Pritchard’s  “Alleluia Amen”  These grades concentrate on understanding  and preparing for communion.

Grades 7 and 8 study “Living the Good News”,  a curriculum that follows the church liturgy.

All classes: will be learning about the Episcopal church, what it means to be Episcopalian, about our physical church building, our practices and our traditions.  Bible stories are also an important part of our classes.

Instructional Eucharist: The first Sunday of the month specific classes will meet in Dutton Hall for an instructional Eucharist.  Children will learn  more about the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist.

Helping your children learn: We only have a short time in our Sunday school classes … so regular attendance and reinforcement at home is important.  Talk with your child about what they learned in class.  Look at their handouts with them and continue the lesson at home.  If you are going to miss several classes, we will be happy to provide you with copies of the lessons.
